A little late, but I still wanna blog abt this. Ha!
So the long awaited POC had officially ended on Saturday. Hitched a ride from Shuyu's mum tgt with Cheryl.
Mount Faber Safra was where they filmed the 'Bao Jia Wei Guo' starring Felicia Chin, Tay Ping Hui, Bryan Wong and Dawn Yeoh. I got pretty excited over it, cant figure out why anyway.
(pardon the many Sir s and Mdm s to come, I feel kind of weird calling them by their name) Okay, back to topic. We reached there early, sat in Ya Kun for awhile with Cheryl and chatted with Charles Sir and Gina Mdm. Went up to the assemble area when the time was nearing and William Sir did a not so short briefing on the sequence of event that was going to happen. After briefing, Juliet wrote down msges to put on the board for Junhao Sir, Meizhu Mdm and Nazi Sir. Had our rehearsal after that, super boring but necessary. Went to change into out full-u at ard 5pm, took pictures as a whole course and continued with a bit of rehearsing, thereafter, we had some time to snap pictures. Yup, most of us with camera went ard taking pictures.
7pm, all of us got ready for the actual thing. Went into the dining area where we stood for more than 40 minutes. Listened to all the speeches by the GOH, Chief Commisioner, Mr Tan and I'm not sure who else. Actually, the speeches are quite meaningful if we listen to them with expectant and willing heart but sadly, it took too long and I guess most of us just mental blocked whatever they were saying.
Then finally at ard 7:40pm, the mounting of rank began! Smiles lit up on our faces and everyone was waiting eagerly for it. Chub, Cheryl, Jian Nan, Benjamin and my rank was mounted by one of the Zone 4 officers, Mr Simon Quek. Most of us was smiling away as he took of our officer trainee 'rank' and placed the CSO grade 6 rank on. & that stupid Benjamin! kept on asking me to cry, but I didnt anyway, I was too happy. Cheryl nearly did though. Haha.
Next up, announcing of Best Overall Trainees and Most Outstanding Trainee from each division- Alpha: Wenbin & Xinying Bravo: Fangyu & Grace Charlie: Tianlin & Huiwen Best Overall; Jian Nan & Pearl Ning Congrats! All of your hardwork paid off!
Started the whole course of dinner and performance next. The officers did a video slide show for us, and gave a mini speech through the video too. I likeee!
Juliet performance was 2nd in line and we sang 'At the beginning' and had them view a video slide show. The response was very good if you were to ask my opinion. No other grp, maybe except Oscar have gotten that kind of respond from the audience. The officers and the newly born officers were singing and laughing away at our video. I’m glad, there was a lot of effort put into the video by Cheryl. 80% done by her, not that I'm complaining that others didn’t do anything but it was cause we wanted to give them a surprise too. Anyway, Cheryl burn a CD of the video slide show for everyone in Juliet. Evelyn did the board that we gave to our officers and Massha cut out those cards that we wrote on. Our GI & SI gave us a personally written card each. Nice!
Went to Habourfront Mac after the whole event, with some of the newborn Zone 1 & 2 officers and Charles Sir. Chatted for abt an hour abt NCO course, and had a good laugh. Cabbed home with Charles Sir and Peixuan after that.
TO SOME OF THE PEOPLE IN OTC'07
From the start till the end, Juliet!
Yo! Thanks for all the fun that we had tgt. During the rehearsing for campfire item before camp phase, to the discussion of the carpark management during the project phase, at the big empty space at city hall. Some disagreements and irritation over long meetings, but nevertheless, everything worked out in the end. Everyone had put in their effort to make each and every task that we had a success. Our wonderful group instrutors who was always supporting us all the way, motivating, encouraging us. Their invaluable guidance and advices. Thank you for everything Juliet! OSCAR! Hello! Surprise to see your grp here? Haha. I just wanna thank all of you in supporting during the campfire when I was the division cheer I/c. Thanks for cheering tgt with me. (=
BRAVO!!!!!!! I seriously think that we are the best division ever! We even have a group cheer during the POC. "Hey Bravo, Hey Bravo! Bravo hey, Bravo Ho, Ho Bravo! Bravo Ho, Bravo Hey, Hey Bravo!"
CFC'07 It was a wonderful experience planning the campfire with all of you. I learnt a few things while being part of this committee. The laughters and brain-racking of ideas for the campfire. Although, we didn't manage to carry out everything according to plan cause it rained but I'm sure that everyone learnt an important lesson from this- backup plan is no less important than the actual thing. To Gina and Hwee Chin Mdm, I’ve learnt a lot of leadership skills from the both of you. Although your might feel that at times you were too harsh to us, but to me, I felt that it was necessary for us to grow up, to be future officers. Thank you for your guidance and advice!
ZONE 1! I think we have the highest passing rate among all the zone. Well-done!
To those who have helped/motivated me in someway or another during the course.
Grace, Valerie and Adelard. Thanks for your help during the route march. I believe that your were tired too but your still chose to help me up the stairs and I'm really grateful for that cause I was feeling damm lousy when I started lagging behind.
Officers who walked up that flight of stairs with us. It was actually quite motivating to see your walk up the stairs like it was no big deal. It kinda spurred me on, to not give up half-way. Rich guy! Idk if you still remembered asking me if I was okay during the route march, but I was quite gan dong cause it shows that you looked out for us. Haha. Thanks! Meizhu Mdm, thanks for singing along with me/us throughout the hike, quite entertaining eh. Haha.
People who were walking at the back, during the route march. The "Endure! Endure!" really came in handy. It was also another reason for not giving up. Thank you!
Cheryl. Hey girl! Thanks for everything during the course. I'm glad for you cause I've got someone to complain to when I get irritated over stuffs and someone to gush to abt when I saw my eye candy. The endless chatting during theory, camp and project phase. I likeeeeeee! Haha! Through this course, I've found a great friend. I don’t know if I’ll be as close to you now if we weren’t in the same grp. Love ya loads!
Peixuan. Had fun doing the MOI with ya at my house. So tired, but we still managed to do it. Thanks for helping me think of the cheers and songs and going out with me to buy our camp stuffs before camp phase. Thanks a lot! Love ya too!
Sam Sir. Weird that I wanna thank him. But I found out from Charles Sir that the video speech from our instructor was actually done by him and he even went to Charles Sir workplace just to get him in the video. I think that was really nice of him. Thanks for the IT support throughout this course!
Wenbin. The only person that is not from my division and not from cfc that I think I’m good friends with. Maybe, because we both live in Hougang area then we took cab to HQ tgt before. Haha. Anyway, I think you really are confident of yourself when you were course i/c and triage i/c. I admire you for that (=
AS WE GO ON, WE REMEMBER, ALL THE TIMES WE SPENT TGT. AND AS OUR LIVES CHANGE, COME WHATEVER, WE WILL STILL BE FRIENDS FOREVER.
I hope we’ll stay friends forever and our love for sjab will never die.
Okay, a little too mushy. Take care people! See ya ard in HQ and HQ events!

Nostalgia
Blog hopping seems to be my recent hobby. However, this time round, it was not random hopping. Visited a few of the ex 4e5 classmates blog.
I always tell others that my secondary school life is very fun. Examples? Too much to list. I can only say, "Fun lor, really very fun." 4E5, was really a interesting class to be in. All kinds of people.
Plenty of fond memories to look back on. Took quite a number of pictures when we were in sec 4. I especially like the one where the 5 of us- me, lyn, angie, melvin and weijun took together outside the class in our full U. Acting cool, showing off our rank and badges. I likkeeeeee.
The times where Mr Koh would show us movies during english period, and the whole class would enjoy them together. Remembered that Mr Koh told me that we were his favourite class. You know how some teachers would stick their class photos on their walls in the staff room, Mr Koh said that our class photo is placed in the middle and enlarged somemore. So nice lor. & we were the only class that Koh 'donated' the world map to be put up in the class when we were in sec 4. Wah piang, gan dong leh.
Recalls those time where Sipei and gang- Kahwee, Janice, Zhiyang, Alan and Joyce would play those funny games in class and use the ruler to smack their foreheads when they lost. Super funny, I tell you. Then the F&N class where we would do mindmaps. Warao, I still remember Weijun nearlied finish eating up my spaghetti I cooked for my 'O' level coursework. Eating KFC outside Kaino lab with Melvin attempting to drink from the cup with plenty of straws joined up. Sitting beside Angie and talking non-stop in class. Xinghui and her enless complaining. Ha! The chatting and gossiping with Ah lao and Nana. Playing tennis with Angeline. 4E5 being one of the class most enthusiastic about pe as Mr Wong puts it. Some of the most unexpected people to crack jokes, like Liangjim and Norizam. There was once when I was playing solitare when I was supposed to be doing my coursework in the comp lab, Liangjim came up to me with a serious face and asked me if that was being tested for F&N 'O' lvl, I ji tao stun diao. Being in 4E5 will bring out a side of you that others never thought you have have. Norizam making subtle jokes, with Amir and Farhan backing him up and sending the class into laughters. Jieming and his vulgarities. And not forgetting Liying, my corrupted SC partner and one of my closest friend in sec sch.
Those people mentioned in the post above are what I remembered most about 4E5 and some of the people that I was closer to. Of course, 4E5 will not be 4E5 if there were one less person in it.
I love 4E5 alot la, okay!

I've been blog hopping.
Plenty of emo-ing post. How sad.
They did flashbacks, they did self-reflection, some forgave, some bore grudges.
Plenty of hurting in them.
As I think about it, I can only ponder about what lead them to their current situation in the first place.
Was it immaturity? Was it bad decisions made? Was it unwillingness to move on?
